Day 05: Your definition of love, in great detail

This reminded me of the GMCC video for CALL Retreat.
My personal definition of love is… a willingness to sacrifice everything for the benefit of the one/thing you love. It requires patience, kindness, humility, honesty, trust, hope, and perseverance (1 Corinthians 13). God is the origin of love, and I can find His love for me through every moment of my life. With this definition, it makes the word love seem much more grave than how I often use it. I wouldn’t sacrifice everything for a taste of food, and I wouldn’t give up my obligations to my parents and friends just to become a doctor.
